Bel-Air

Bel Air is one of the three Los Angeles neighborhoods that form the exclusive “Platinum Triangle” of Los Angeles, along with Beverly Hills and Holmby Hills. The Platinum Triangle is known for its opulent homes, five star dining and high-end shopping venues. It has long been the choice of residence for notable personalities including politicians, actors, musicians and high-profile corporate executives. This luxury, gated community in the hills on the city’s Westside provides both privacy and gracious living.

Living in Bel Air

The finer things in life are available when living in Bel Air. At the center of the community are the Bel Air Country Club and the elegantly remodeled Hotel Bel Air. The Bel Air Country Club is a members-only private championship golf course and entertainment venue in a stunning canyon setting. Its members and honorary members include many elite entertainers and notable executives. The Hotel Bel Air is a luxury boutique hotel with a five-star restaurant and bar. Some of the finest California wines come from the sixteen acres of grapes that are grown at the local Moraga Vineyards.

The setting of television shows and movies since the neighborhood’s founding in the 1920s, Bel Air exemplifies the upscale California lifestyle. From the community’s gates, Bel Air is only minutes from the luxury boutiques, high-end department stores and fine dining for which Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive are known.

The neighborhood is adjacent to the University of California, Los Angeles which is just across Sunset Boulevard. Bel Air is also the home of the American Jewish University and four private and two public-pre collegiate schools.

Real Estate in Bel Air

Brentwood, Westwood, Beverly Hills Post Office, Sherman Oaks and the campus of UCLA border the exclusive community of Bel Air. There are three distinct neighborhoods, East Gate (or Old Bel Air), West Gate Bel Air and Upper Bel Air with estates that date back to Bel Air’s founding in 1923.

The lovely aesthetic appearance of this residential community is preserved through the active efforts of the Bel Air Association. Architectural styles, landscape design and the size of lots are strictly maintained to protect the investments of the residents. Privacy in the community is of the utmost concern and local security companies guard Bel Air.

The homes in Bel Air range from Post-War Ranch designs to Mediterranean Villas and lavish Contemporary architecture. The homes represent the best in design and sophistication and combine a park-like setting with gracious living behind the elegant gates. Properties located along Stradella Road and Linda Flora Drive are noted for their incredible panoramic views of Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean. Lower Bel Air is considered highly desirable for its convenience to Sunset Boulevard and access to Beverly Hills and the beaches. Other coveted locations are near the entrance to the Bel Air country club.
